It could be said that there are two types of women: the type that thinks beauty products are important and the type that doesn’t.
Beauty products are more than just the things you put on your face, body and hair. They have a cultural symbolism too: far-right feminists might argue that beauty products are one of the things that enslave women, while others might argue that beauty products empower women.
As with many things, beauty products remain a tool that could be used for better or worse. Products that feel good to use, smell good, do not contain any chemical nasties and impart a feeling of well-being can make a woman feel more relaxed, and look it – what is the harm in that?
On the other end of the scale, beauty products which are too harsh, aggravate the skin, make false claims - and make you feel uncomfortable while using them - or exacerbate a skin disorder, could be simply a waste of time and money.
It is also important about how these items are being used in someone’s daily life. Is a woman dependent on them, spending more than she can afford on them, and spending hours using beauty products? If this is the case then perhaps the problem is not the beauty products, but the individual’s self-esteem.
Beauty products which are used within reason can bring comfort and pleasure to anyone’s life, and may even help us to look good for longer.
It is important, in order to avoid wasting money and damaging skin, to use the right products. Professional beauty products bought from a salon after a skin consultation with a therapist are a good bet, as are professional beauty products bought from a reputable online company.
