A decade or so ago, satellite television was very sought after, but it was also rather expensive. The sheer volume of channels that were available and the ability to receive these pictures unhindered due to the transmissions being made by satellites and not over land was a great bonus for those who could afford it, or simply didn't mind spending the money on it.

However, for those who didn't want to throw such money away, getting satellite television never really seemed like an option. Today, though, getting satellite television is not only much easier, but it can also be totally free.
We have probably all heard of someone who managed to get satellite TV by getting some dodgy mate to hack in to someone else's signal, but getting free satellite TV today is not only more ethical, but in fact totally legal, and even recommended.
Freesat is an alternative to Freeview and one that gets its transmissions from satellites rather than through normal TV aerials. Instead of getting aerial installers to install new TV aerials, all you need is to get them to install a satellite dish, get a Freesat box and you can have access to hundreds of free-to-air channels, far more than with Freeview. The quality will also be much better and, being delivered by satellite, the transmissions are going to be available to far more people.
Once the aerial installers have installed the dish and you have bought the box, you will be able to enjoy the array of channels for free and experience for free what, a decade ago, cost many people huge amounts of money.
With the number of free channels you can receive (in glorious HD if you so wish) growing all the time, there really is no better way to get a free television experience.
